Renting for the first time?

Empire oversees that the renting process runs as smoothly as possible for tenants. Here’s what to expect if you’re a first-time tenant - or renting with Empire for the first time.

Find your perfect property

Access our portfolio of properties or give us a call. We can give you our prices and arrange viewing times.

Pay a deposit

Once you’ve found a property you like, you’ll need to pay a holding deposit to secure it. This forms part of the security deposit.

Credit check

Before you sign the lease and can move in, we’ll need to perform a credit check.

Sign lease

Photographic ID and proof of current address is required at the lease signing. A full month of rent and deposit must also be paid.

Moving in

Just before your moving date, you’ll be given all the necessary tenancy documents, with keys to the property.

Your tenancy

Any issues during your tenancy, don’t hesitate to contact Empire. We have a dedicated maintenance team, and aim for a quick and efficient resolution.

Moving out

To end your tenancy, you’ll need to give us advance notice. We’ll then be able to send you information on the termination procedure and confirm your moving out date. A property inspection will also take place.
